Here are some things you should know for caring for your pet mice:
Temperature: 65- 80 degrees fahrenheit
Lifespan: 1.5- 3 years
Best cages: Fish tanks, not wired cages
Foods mice cannot eat: Chocolate, peanuts, cheese, acidic fruits, acidic vegetables, raw meats, wheat, milk, lettuce, fizzy drinks, maize, white millet, unwashed fruit/ vegetables.
What to feed them: Store bought food pellets, I use Forti- Diet
Best combinations: Only females, females and males for babies
Worst combinations: Only males, only one mouse
Good bedding: Carefresh Natural bedding
Toys to provide: Lots of chewing toys, something to sleep in ( I use a glove), a wheel, others things to play with
When to hold your mouse for the first time: After at least 24 hours
How to hold your mouse: Never squeeze your mouse and remember that they are fragile
